London Buses route 148 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, United Kingdom. The service is currently contracted to Transdev London.

History[]

Route 148 is one of the many routes created to help the congestion charge.

New Scania OmniCity entered the service in late 2006, the Volvo B7TL 10m / Alexander ALX400 were transferred to route 220, although they do show up and the Volvo B7TL 10.6m / East Lancs Myllennium Vyking were given to Stamford Brook to increase the frequency of route 27.

Recently some new Scania N230UD 10.5m / East Lancs Olympus double-deckers have entered service.

On 2 February 2008, Shepherd's Bush Station (Central Line) was closed and extra buses were put on route 148 for additional service.
