London Buses route 29 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, United Kingdom. The service is currently contracted to Arriva London.

Today's route 29 traces its history back to a daily route between Victoria and Wood Green (Fishmongers Arms) via Whitehall, Charing Cross Road, Camden Town, Seven Sisters Road and Green Lanes which began operation on 20 November 1911.

In the 1950s, the route ran from Victoria to South Mimms via Wood Green, Palmers Green Triangle, Southgate, Cockforters and Potters Bar (but not Potters Bar station forecourt). The extreme terminus was at South Mimms Clare Hall Hospital to which the 29 ran at certain times of the day to fit in with visiting hours. In the northbound direction, buses could also terminate at Southgate Station, Cockfosters Station, Cockfosters Hadley Wood, Potters Bar Cranbourne Road and South Mimms. In the southbound direction, buses could terminate at Palmers Green Triangle and Wood Green. (notes from Martin James)

In 1988, it was converted to single person double deck operation, this was again converted to low floor operations in 2002. On January 14 2006, the bus service was again converted, but this time to a "bendy bus" operation. However as part of the ceassation of artic workings in London, it reverted back to DD buses, and the buses where reallocated to WN garage on 26th November 2011.

The bus route is noted for its high crime rate and is London's third most dangerous bus route, according to figures released by Transport for London[1].
